For every PAX, I’ve written detailed blog posts about each panel Derek and I attended and what we did, saw, discovered, ate, etc… But due to my business trip to Japan right after PAX East I totally missed the opportunity to do it this time due to my business trip to Japan right after PAX East. But that doesn’t mean this PAX East wasn’t memorable or anything like that at all. In fact, super awesome stuff happened. Check out these blog posts to read more about it.
stuffed stuff: Ushanka hat (Castle Crashers bear hat)
stuffed stuff: Knights from Castle Crashers
stuffed stuff: Anklegator from Bastion
The rest of PAX East was also awesome. To prove it, I have tons of photos from PAX East which it’d be a waste not to share with you…
So here are photos and some videos from PAX East. WARNING: This post will be super photo heavy.
We stayed at the Seaport Boston Hotel the first night. They had a sewing kit in the bathroom! I had a full sewing set with me but I thought this was awesome.
Lobster roll - Like last year, we went to Yankee Lobster Fish Market. They have AMAZING & cheap seafood! This was our only decent meal in Boston.
The reason why I'm a Penny Arcade fan. If you don't know what's it about, just Google "Paul Christoforo."
Gamers With Jobs panel with Shawn Andrich, Ken Levine, Jeff Green, Sean Sands, Julian Murdoch, and Cory Banks
Finally entering the Exhibit hall, and BAM! The Behemoth's floating halo banner and the huge projector screen were right in front of us.
Assassin's Creed 3 booth with a long line. Black & shiny with red back lighting... Does not fit Assassin's Creed theme at all, but sure...
Chevy's booth had cars. Don't know how this happened but we were told that it'll never happen again.
To be honest, I was more excited to see the Power Loader with the Queen Alien than the game. (Yes, you could get in the Power Loader and take a photo!)
Far Cry 3 - They were giving people a Far Cry themed haircut (Mohawk) and TATTOOS live. I AM SERIOUS. It was projected on to the huge screen. You can see the stenciled outline of a tattoo on a guy's shoulder.
"I got a lot of free swag at PAX East!" "Cool, what did you get?" "T-shirts, posters, pins, and a tattoo."
This happens everywhere in the hotels around PAX East. Card games, board games, everywhere you look, people are playing games.
Robert Khoo's panel (the guy who's behind PAX). This was the very first time ever in the PAX history. It started out late but it was so worth it. I can't write what he talked about though... ;P
I'd seen the trailer for Super Time Force before and it was a bit confusing... until I watched Derek play it in front of me. I'm so gonna love this game.
Phew!
I hope you get to experience the tiny bit of PAX from my photos. Hopefully, I can do a better post for PAX Prime that’s coming up in a little over 2 months.
