Have Anna and Derek been fighting? Is that why she isn’t making bento anymore??

No, that’s not true! We’re happy as ever and I’m cooking everyday.

The main reason I haven’t been making bento is that, it turned out that Derek’s new work place doesn’t have a microwave (Gasp!). He told me that they have a tiny fridge and everyone eats out. Once the weather is not so murderously hot and humid, I’ll make bento for him.

Another reason is that it’s now less than 2 weeks until PAX Prime, the biggest gaming convention open to public in the U.S. And to me, this means crunch time with a capital bold C.

PAX Prime and PAX East are the two very special occasions where I get to meet game developers in person. While it’s super exciting to see people’s reaction when I give them plush of the character from their game, but it’s also a great opportunity to self-promote. For the past couple of weeks I’ve been making plushes to bring to PAX Prime. Some are gifts and some are prototypes. I always bring plushes to a PAX but this time, the list of plushes I’m bringing kept getting bigger. I’m sewing at least several hours a day, everyday now. My shoulders and neck were killing me the first week or so, but now I’m on a roll and I don’t want to stop. Looks like one of our suitcases will be completely filled with plushes! I’ll make sure to write a post for each project later.

But that’s not going to stop me from playing with food! Actually I already have a plan! It’s true! It’s not a bento but it’ll be a character themed food.

So bear with me until I finish this sew-a-thon!
