How to make mario mushrooms

in characters,how-to

This is also something I made for my Super Smash Brothers Brawl bento. It’s very easy to make, and looks adorable. If you don’t put eyes on it, you can just use it as normal mushroom for your bento.

[Super mushroom]
- quail egg or hot dog sausage
- cheese
- seaweed
- cherry tomato

1. Boiled quail egg. (or cut hot dog sausage)

2. Cut a cherry tomato in a half, and take the seeds out.

3. Put #2 on the boiled quail egg. (or hot dog sausage)

4. Cut circles out of cheese, and put them on the tomato.

If the cheese gets dry and becomes hard (like the one on the picture T_T), you can just squeeze the cheese with your fingers for a bit, and push it against tomato/ lettuce.

5. Cut seaweed for its eyes, and put them on the quail egg. (or hot dog sausage)

[ 1-up mushroom]
- quail egg or hot dog sausage
- cheese
- seaweed
- potato salad or mashed potato
- lettuce (microwaved and dried well)

1. Boiled quail egg. (or cut hot dog sausage)

2. Make a mushroom head with potato salad, and wrapped it with microwaved lettuce.

3. Put #2 on the boiled quail egg. (or hot dog sausage)

4. Cut circles out of cheese, and put them on the lettuce.

If the cheese gets dry and becomes hard (like the one on the picture T_T), you can just squeeze the cheese with your fingers for a bit, and push it against tomato/ lettuce.

5. Cut seaweed for its eyes, and put them on the quail egg. (or hot dog sausage)

I’ve also seen mushrooms where someone carved a radish into a mushroom shape leaving the red outside for the “cap” and cutting circles out of the top for the spots. That would only work for a red mushroom, of course, but it was very cute. :3
