		<description>If ye notice in Spirited Away, the first few times Chihiro / Sen meets No Face, he&#039;s actually wearing a flat mask.
When the other spirits get off the river boat, many of them are carrying masks in front of their faces in the scene where their all disembarking.

No Face&#039;s &quot;face&quot; only really starts to take shape after he&#039;s eaten various characters. No Shape would have been more apt for his character, as he seemed to be ghost-like with no real form (unless the black was a spiritual shroud that covered his spindly legs and arms).

His &quot;face&quot; reverts back to a mask once he&#039;s discharged those characters he&#039;d eaten. I&#039;ve always seen his mask as a play on the harlequin masks.</description>
